I'm really great in it. I have stretched my foot with Lacrosse ball for 3 years. Jetzt hat er wieder seine natürliche Form.. Normale Schuhe passen nicht mehr gut. Die Expeq passen aber super. Allerdings brauche ich neue Einlegesohlen, weiß aber nicht wie ich die bestellen kann.

After 18 months Gr. 41 and almost three years only in barefoot shoes the 42 had to go for the winter.
My feet have become much wider on the balls and toes and especially the little toe could have even more space than here. But: All other tried hiking shoes from well -known barefoot shoe brands could not keep up with the Expeq, mostly they are too loose on the heel and meter and cannot be neatly lashed or they are too diagonally for the small toes or the sole is already running when you look .
So I returned or passed it on again and I am back at ZAQQ :)

Top, the strips of ZAQQ: good and firm seat at the back, in the middle of reasonable adjustable, space in front (as I said, could be even wider for me), the transition on the joint is also well solved here. I look forward to autumn and winter in these shoes.

Oh, the sole: the 41s have almost none of the sole and I constantly on it.

The Expeq as Lowcut (not Midcut) for spring until early autumn would be another dream ...

I have had these shoes for almost 4 years now and practically live in them. They are my everyday shoes, hiking shoes, wilderness camp shoes - in all seasons. In winter I pack a lambsbar sole in and only with very crispy balcony I have to switch to winter shoes. In summer, when it is warm, I wear sandals so that my feet do not overheat, but also there, whenever possible, the Expepq-Brown.
The reason for my review now was that after all this time, the shoes recently came on a 1-week backpack tour in the low mountain range and I was simply enthusiastic there.
Heavy backpack, steep climbs, sloping entrances - the sole just does everything and I didn't even slip. Not even when wet.
The only disadvantage that I have to name with - for everyone who projects similar:
After such a long time, the shoes are no longer 100% waterproof. And once they are wet inside, then dry due to the membrane. This makes an outdoor adventure pretty bad without plump material, because you get into a wet shoe every day that gives you the sole of the foot over time ... which of course is extremely susceptible to bubbles and pressure injuries.
It is similar even if the shoe is still completely tight, at heavily fluctuating temperatures. If the foot sweats in the shoe a day, the moisture cannot go there anywhere. That means you have to adjust to moist - and thus quickly set your feet in the evening. To wear a wool sock (e.g. Merino) directly on the skin and e.g. to pull a cotton sock over it, can help, but of course tighten the toes.
You just have to make these compromises if you want the waterproof membrane.
Personally, I would never give back the shoes, but I would also look for a couple that only has leather - without a membrane, so that I can then take them with me for longer outdoor stays without drying.
Otherwise I love these shoes. Almost my whole family now has it and you can no longer get me into others. ^^

I bought the Expeq shoe as a hiking shoe for my Jakobsweg. Conclusion after 330 km: perfect shoe, good running feeling and even dry feet in the rain. The sole was also very good on the various substrates (asphalt, cobblestones, field and forest paths), you can feel enough, but is still well protected. It was also good when it was wet, I didn't slip away. These shoes will always accompany me on my camino.

I am thrilled ... Caming shoes and two days later it went towards Mittenwald. On the first day I still had to change the lacing slightly, but the first 9 km were fine. From the third day, hikes up to 20 km uphill and -m ... I love these shoes and can only recommend them. The appearance reminds me of the hiking shoes from the past, but this is exactly this is great.
Now is the third couple of you and I was always enthusiastic, but this is unbeatable!
